Arthritis

This term literally means "joint inflammation" or swelling, and while there are numerous types of arthritis's the most common variety is know as Osteoarthritis. The most common symptoms of "OA" are joint pain, stiffness, tenderness, creaking, locking up and local inflammation. While most commonly seen in the elderly, OA can be seen in younger people several years after traumatic injury to a joint.

Chiropractic's primary role in treating this condition is to restore optimal motion to restricted joints. This permits proper lubrication to return to the joint involved, and may even prevent accelerated degeneration to both the young and older patient.
